The Cleveland Cavaliers have named former EuroLeague coach David Blatt as their new head coach, the team announced Friday.
Blatt's NBA Experience
Blatt has no prior NBA coaching experience, but he has a strong track record of success in Europe. He led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the EuroLeague championship in 2014 and was named the EuroLeague Coach of the Year that same year.
Blatt's Coaching Style
Blatt is known for his up-tempo, offensive style of play. He also has a reputation for being a good communicator and motivator.
Blatt's Challenges
Blatt will face several challenges in his first season with the Cavaliers. The team is coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 33-49. Blatt will also have to deal with the high expectations that come with coaching LeBron James.
