Larry Linville, who played weasel-like Major Frank Burns on the esteemed long-running series "MASH," has died at the age of 60 from cancer. A native of Ojai, California, Linville was born on September 29, 1939. He began his acting career in the early 1960s, appearing in small roles in television shows and films. In 1972, he landed the role of Frank Burns on "MASH," which would become his most famous role. Linville played Burns for 11 seasons, until the show ended in 1983. After "MASH," Linville continued to act, appearing in a number of television shows and films. He also did some theater work in Canada. Linville was married five times, including once to actress Kate Geer. He is survived by his wife, Kelly, and two children.
