Pacers Stumble in Game 2

Celtics Take 2-0 Lead in Eastern Conference Semifinals

The Indiana Pacers fell to the Boston Celtics 117-109 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Wednesday night. The Celtics now have a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 24 points and Marcus Smart had 20 points.

Domantas Sabonis led the Pacers with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Caris LeVert added 21 points and Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points.

The Celtics led by just four points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter. They outscored the Pacers 34-22 in the third quarter to take a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter.

The Pacers cut the lead to six points with 3:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics made their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Game 3 of the series will be played on Friday night in Indiana.
