The Spaniard Rallies From a Set Down to Reach the Final

Indian Wells, Calif. - Carlos Alcaraz continued his remarkable run of form on Friday night, defeating Jannik Sinner in three sets to reach the final of the BNP Paribas Open.

Alcaraz, who is now 19-3 on the season, dropped the first set 6-1 but fought back to win the second 6-3 before taking the third 6-2. The match lasted two hours and 15 minutes.

"It was a tough match," Alcaraz said. "Sinner is a great player and he made me work for it. I'm just happy to be in the final."

Alcaraz will face either Taylor Fritz or Miomir Kecmanovic in the final on Sunday. He is seeking his third ATP Tour title of the season.

Conclusion

Alcaraz's victory over Sinner was a statement of intent from the young Spaniard. He is now one of the favorites to win the BNP Paribas Open and will be a formidable opponent for whoever he faces in the final.
